Pop quiz, How do two women fill a car to this capacity?

"How?!" you ask? Well, you end the semester for BYU-Idaho and take all those single students who don't care about their things and add two women who care about said things and are willing to go to great lengths to get said things.

Well, not super great lengths, but good enough lengths :) (A.K.A. we did not dive into the food dumpsters...)
Yesterday was the highlight of my month :) Patty and I were home alone since the guys went on a bike adventure. We were going to craft or something but then decided to go to yard sales. Then we realized, "Hey, it's the end of the semester..." and we went to about 10 apartment complexes and raided the tops of these white dumpsters and Patty even got into this yellow dumpster that we said to be for home furnishings :D Don't worry, we had hand sanitizer :)

We took our loot to Dan and Patty's and sorted through it. This is all the loot!

(these were outside of dumpsters and no where near any contaminatable things)

Why yes, that is bags and bags of CLOTHES!

The boys even got some loot out of our efforts. Alex tried on a bunch of shirts...

and then tried to reach a world record...

guess how many he got on...

ELEVEN SHIRTS is the correct response! :D
So here is what I got from our efforts:

And Scott won these:

This is my favorite, Patty found it :)

We also got dishes (not pictured), this lamp,

3 small trash cans, a picnic basket, a laundry basket, a pool lounger, 3 sleds, shelves, and a twin bed set! :D It was like a dream come true. Thanks Patty for such a fun time!

Here is an update on our garden:

Our snap peas have been harvested once already, we have 3 squash, 2 zucchini, 2 regular tomatoes, and a vine of cherry tomatoes that are dying to get ripe enough for us to eat them up! :D
That's some pretty awesome loot you found. I may come up at the end of the next semester to do all of my Christmas shopping :P
ReplyDeleteWow! What a haul! I'm impressed, and slightly (OK, maybe a lot) jealous!
