We were in Kansas for the last five and a half months. I didn't feel real safe posting stuff about our location while we were gone. We kept our rental and moved back in a few weeks ago. I didn't want to publicize the fact that the rental was vacant with all our stuff in it...:) So here we go! Let's catch you up :)
We lived at an extended stay hotel-StayBridge Suites. It was really nice and we got fed hot breakfasts daily as well as dinner Tues-Thurs. It made it oh so nice while I was morning sick. Scott still got to eat real food and not just mac n cheese every day (which he does love, so he will survive when this happens).
Teancum survived our stay. She may have gotten some of the maids a little "excited" when we first moved in, but by the time we left they had warmed up to each other. :) We kind of miss having her in the middle of our living space. Now she's back in her corner in the kitchen, she seems kind of grumpy about it herself.
Isn't it hilarious how she folds herself in half in her bowl? This is her "Get me a real salad" face. I do believe that is why she is folded into the bowl too, because that will of course make the salad come faster :)
She enjoyed getting out of her tank to hang out with daddy. Me and baby kept our distance (lizards have a chance of carrying salmonella) usually though, she doesn't seem to mind though. She likes Scott better anyway, haha.
She also shed a little while we were there. This was my favorite. she couldn't get it off her head and stayed like this for a least a day.
It was nice and windy in Wichita so I went and got us kites. Scott had not flown a real kite in his life, so it was fun getting to do that! We had made kites from garbage bags and paper a few years ago with Dan and Patty but this was his first time getting to really FLY a kite :)
While Scot was installing the machine/working I waited for him to come home to the hotel :) So I crafted a lot of the time. I made this racetrack for Eli and Dan :)
I made a lot of these adorable owl hats for family. I'm going to start making them to sell :)
I also made carseat covers for Lindsey and Tina.
We found a nature park a few blocks from the apartment and spent an afternoon there. It had lots of turtles and ducks :) It made me excited for adventures with our baby when Scott takes us more places for business trips :)
We experienced our first ice storm together while in Wichita. I got some cool pictures of that...
I've been wondering what you were up to! I'm glad you had a nice time in Kansas. :)
