Last week Scott and I made a family crest at the Gale family reunion. Dad Gale drew it for us and we colored it. Each symbol, color and shield has a meaning:
overall shield: represents the roof of a house, signifies protection and faithful service.
small shield in upper left corner: honor
crown: (king-horn) regal or senior authority, heavenly reward
snake: wisdom
fish: of regal authority, one of high nature
pig: fierce fighter, fights to the death.
holly: truth
arm: an industrious person
purple: justice, sovernity, regal
blue: strength, loyalty
green: hope, loyalty in love
maroon: victorious, patient in battle
orange: worthwhile ambition
gold: generosity
Scott had a fun weekend in Vernal with Cassie's family.
We were sooooo lucky and were able to meet up with Brooke and her kids at a park close to Cassie's family's house. We had a WONDERFUL visit with her and plan to do it yearly :)
It was raining on the mountain when we got into Vernal so we waited and went up Saturday morning...it was still pretty muddy
Once we got up there we made breakfast, Scott's tasty hash browns!
Me and the girls (and the girly boys-Tim and Alex) made hawaiian flowers for our hair :0
We went on a hike after craft time, Scott loves his rocks.
We saw lots of pretty flowers!
Scott on his rocks again.
It was so muddy!
We got awesome family pictures! The first with Ayden and with Scott AND the first time we have ever gotten pictures at our favorite place with family-Blair Basin on Diamond Mountain
Mayson is getting big!
Ayden :)
We all went to watch the fire works from a safe distance so the kids could enjoy them :)
Yay for the fourth of July!
Thank you again for a great weekend! It was so great to be able to meet up with you guys and yes, it'll be a yearly thing! Yay! It looks like the rest of your weekend was fun as well. Honestly when I headed up the mountain on Saturday and saw cars coming down with inches of hail on them I was ready to head back to Texas...we stuck it out for awhile and then headed back down to civilization/warmth! Thanks again! Loves...B
ReplyDeleteLooks super fun! How did you make the flowers? It seems to be the cool thing to do this year...the young women in my ward did it at girl's camp.
