This week the flower bushes on our street started blooming. I LOVE how green and beautiful it is out here! This is looking down the road from our mailbox.

On Friday after I got off work Scott and I had an adventure trying to find the Seattle Pet store in Everett (the city to the south of us). We realized about 15 minutes into our adventure that we should have brought the Frongners for good luck. haha. We missed our exit, so we turned around at the next exit down. We took the number exit that google told us to, but now going the wrong way and since we have such 'awesome' luck we ended up on a one way highway without a chance of turning the way we needed to go. We ended up having to go about 5 minutes in the wrong direction, all the while chasing the clock since the store was closing at 7:00pm. We got turned around and ended up getting to the pet store with a few minutes to spare, hooray! Our luck didn't end there though. We went down to see this particular store because they had recently got a tegu (our next future lizard) and we wanted to meet one. When we got in the store we looked everywhere at all the cool reptiles but saw no tegu. I finally asked where the tegu was and was told that they had sold it earlier that same day. Man oh man, I seriously can't get over how much bad luck we have when we leave our little city on our own! haha! Marysville does love us though, which sometimes makes up for it :)

Yesterday we went on a hike behind our house. Scott had been back there exploring for the last few weeks and was itching to show me all the cool stuff.

It's so crazy to me that this is our back yard! It's full of green-ness and moss and is just BEAUTIFUL!

I was trying to get a picture of the spikes on this, a lot of the plants had spikes and I got punctured a few times. Scott gets stung all the time with the nettles that are like the plague back there. I didn't manage to get stung though, thank goodness. :)

this is Scott pointing to the trail he has started making with very little manual labor. He mostly has just been riding on it to make the trail.

He did make this berm and is so proud of it :) He also fell on his head here a while back because his tire dug into the berm too much, it was too soft for his manly biking skills!

Again, just CRAZY that all this is behind our house!

I found a patch of these flowers, they reminded me of our Rexburg home. We had a plant of them in the front of our house by the driveway :)

This little guy even joined us...don't worry, Scott got it off him before he was attacked by the cuteness/armour

 

So this is our Tree bench. You can't really tell but what Scott is standing on is one of three main trunks. The other trunks grew nice and tall but this one wanted to make a bench of itself :) Behind Scott is where the tree decided to stop being a bench and become a tree again. It's the coolest thing EVER!
We had a great weekend and are really enjoying the beauty of Washington :)
