WARNING!
This post is long...Scott couldn't choose just a few pictures to show for this, the most 'amazing date ever'! :)
We went to the demolition derby with our friend's the Frongner's. The derby started with a paint job judging situation-ma-bob. They had the crowd cheer for their favorite paint job...
And BATMAN and ROBIN WIN!!!! They did a pretty snazzy job, they stunk at the racing part though...
and this poor little trooper couldn't get it's car to start after the paint job judging and didn't even get to smash other cars.
After the first heat this car (among others) had to be towed out because, it obviously wasn't going to be getting out by itself...notice the trunk frame being drug behind.
here is a taste of the adventure :)
the purple car, #67, was Scott's favorite. He has a special part of his heart that is dedicated to station-wagons so he fell in love with that one. Also, the red car with the fumes coming out was pretty fun to watch. It has a hose sticking out during the last part of the heat that was leaking water and evaporation and fumes everywhere.
Here is a nice action shot for you :) I was taking a picture of the yellow and red cars in the background but #357, the defending champion from last year, zoomed right into the picture. He was very talented in his ability to HIT CARS and stay in one peice.
Pay attention to #357 in this video
This was a pretty impressive collision, see how low Batman's tires are? That car was STUCK. Then everyone else got stuck to him when they were trying to get him out so he could try and hit them more.
Isn't it cool how the yellow car's trunk and hood are at the same angle? haha.
Another fun 'being stuck' picture :)
These guys really wanted to ride on top of their car out of the track while being towed. They had to hold on pretty tight at times because their car kept being lifted up and the tires were no longer rolling...notice how bent they are?
They had a mini car race too and we got a kick out of #13. Their front tire went flat and their back tire is totally bent but they kept going and only stopped when their radiator gave out, haha. The flat tire seemed to give them more traction, it was pretty hilarious.
In this video you will see the defender getting beat up...pay attention to his hood and to the firefighter. :)
Scott was impressed with my picture taking ability, see the mud flying and the car crushing action? Yeah, that was all me :)
Here's another shot of the double flame action, and the fire fighter is a little closer now :)
And the winner is...#21! I love the intense crushed metal on the hood and the steam coming out of the radiator. Yep, pretty much the best date ever!

Last week Scott and I made a family crest at the Gale family reunion. Dad Gale drew it for us and we colored it. Each symbol, color and shield has a meaning:
overall shield: represents the roof of a house, signifies protection and faithful service.
small shield in upper left corner: honor
crown: (king-horn) regal or senior authority, heavenly reward
snake: wisdom
fish: of regal authority, one of high nature
pig: fierce fighter, fights to the death.
holly: truth
arm: an industrious person
purple: justice, sovernity, regal
blue: strength, loyalty
green: hope, loyalty in love
maroon: victorious, patient in battle
orange: worthwhile ambition
gold: generosity
Scott had a fun weekend in Vernal with Cassie's family.
We were sooooo lucky and were able to meet up with Brooke and her kids at a park close to Cassie's family's house. We had a WONDERFUL visit with her and plan to do it yearly :)
It was raining on the mountain when we got into Vernal so we waited and went up Saturday morning...it was still pretty muddy
Once we got up there we made breakfast, Scott's tasty hash browns!
Me and the girls (and the girly boys-Tim and Alex) made hawaiian flowers for our hair :0
We went on a hike after craft time, Scott loves his rocks.
We saw lots of pretty flowers!
Scott on his rocks again.
It was so muddy!
We got awesome family pictures! The first with Ayden and with Scott AND the first time we have ever gotten pictures at our favorite place with family-Blair Basin on Diamond Mountain
Mayson is getting big!
Ayden :)
We all went to watch the fire works from a safe distance so the kids could enjoy them :)
Yay for the fourth of July!

Today has been really nice but the past few weeks in Rexburg were very full of rain. We thought the temple looked so beautiful against the dark sky, preparing for rain :) The sun was hitting the temple and making it seem even whiter.
We also got some hail one day and it covered the ground, as you can kind of tell looking at our garden.
This was the puddle we had in front of the house after the rain stopped last week. CRAZY!
We had a 'buy one get one free" coupon to TGI Friday's so last weekend for our date we went to Idaho Falls and used it. This is Scott with his tasty burger and sweet potato fries.
My tasty meatball sandwich and fries
At Scott's first Drive-In! We got to see Night at the Museum 2 and Scott saw Wolverine...I fell asleep :s
Looks a little freaky, but this was the view I had at the Drive-In...when I was awake.
Our guest star in today's post is Scott's brother Dan. He got a new bike frame last week :)
Scott and I were pretty busy with projects this past week. He made this poster for his english class. It turned out so nice!
I have been working pretty hard on my Preschool File, which I will use when I teach preschool next semester for a class. It is full of fun lesson ideas and activities, this particular one is visuals to teach "Old McDonald had a Farm"

We went to Boise for a Gale family reunion, the first in years. It was really fun! They did a great job organizing it, especially considering how often we get together. One of my favorite things was the Gale Family store. Each of the 'families' brought things for the cousins to "buy". There were items ranging from stickers to movies to mystery boxes full of everything in between. It was a hit. The cool thing was the kids EARNED their 'Gale Bucks' by helping out. Whenever an adult saw them doing something good or when they helped an adult make dinner or something they received a Gale buck. It was fun times. We really enjoyed seeing family and Scott was able to recover from his shock of meeting so many people at once and had a good time.
Mom is the book grandma for Mayson :) We had a lot of fun with him this weekend, he has gotten so big! He runs all over the place and is just so fun.
My artistic brother, Alex, got in on the crafts. Our aunt and uncle live in Hawaii so our aunt Andrea showed us how to make hawaiian flowers for women's hair. Alex made this one for his wife, Meagan, and demonstrated for us how to use it.
It was the first time in over 5 years that all the siblings had been together in one place.
Our first morning in Boise we found Scott's dream bike park just 10 minutes from my Uncle's house...we will be going back :) Here are a few teasers for you

Today we went with Dan and Emily to visit Uncle Durrell, Aunt Joy...
Aunt Joann and Uncle Nyle and some of their family (Rebekah is pictured)
We had so much fun! I got to know them and everyone else got to know a little more I guess. It was nice to visit family on a Sunday afternoon.

Our week was a little busy but more normal. Cassie started working with another client at her job and this client is helping her get experience directly with her major (early childhood special education). She is really enjoying work with the new challenges and changes. We also have more time together since she is working a little bit less. She gets Tuesday and Thursday off so more time for us to go to the temple and play and stuff. Scott had classes and work and since it was raining he was not able to go biking, as he would have liked to do. He also took a test yesterday for his Dynamics class and got 100%! That is always happy, but especially when your overall grade is 80% based on your tests.
Last Sunday we played a little monopoly. Cassie was whining the whole time because she decided she only likes word games where you have to use your mind and everyone can laugh and joke. She does not so much enjoy games with strict rules where you are cruel to each other. She tried hard to be nice and it turned out for the better for her...
This was Scott's last move, the move that made Cassie win the game.

Cassie also made homemade lemon bars...mmmmmmm! so good! We had an enjoyable week and Scott even taught Cassie how to play one of his video games so he has enjoyed playing with her and helping her get a feel for the game. We are just so lucky to have each other and to be so blessed in life.

I realized today that I am a little off on the pictures lately. The first three pictures are the week before we left for Vegas and the others are this past week.
Scott and I decided to start getting up Saturday morning to go on a bike ride together. We go to the skate park so that way we are the first one's there. Scott did some tricks to impress and woo his wife :) it was pretty impressive, as you can see.

We were going to go yesterday for him to show me his 'turning a 180' skills but it was raining so we opted out. We have been having dinner with our good friends, the Frongner's. They made TASTY ribs for us along with a bean casserole and we brought Scott's hash-browns and a tasty carrot cake. We have so much fun doing these dinners and it is so nice to have time with friends during a busy week.
Last week we got to take a break from our car stress and go with Emily and her friends to I-hop for Emily's birthday. Good times, good times. It was so fun being in the midst of single people again and laugh at them and with them. Emily's friends are a hoot! Since it was her birthday she got some tasty ice cream.

Scott and Dan went biking with another guy that same day in the morning. Scott came home with a friend on his sock, it was a tick and he wasn't sure how it ended up where it was but it died there so no worries.
They had a lot of fun and Scott had one almost major wreck but that was pretty much all. It was kind of wet where they were so his legs and bike ended up pretty dirty, cool 'tan line' huh?
So yeah, now you have an update with pictures. We had a situation with Betsy the car, as mentioned above, and she is now safely back to us and we have learned a LOT during our time away from her. She got her transmission rebuilt and is running fine. She does need some other almost major things fixed but we can deal with those little by little in the next 6 months. By the time we get her taken care of she should be good to go for a couple of years if we are nice to her :) Life is good. Wear clean socks. Enjoy the ride. Don't fall off. Eat your food. and laugh, cuz it's good for you.
